What is AICTE Pragati Saksham Scholarship
Pragati Scholarship for girls is a government program launched by MHRD, implemented by AICTE. Pragati Scholarship for a Girl Student
Pragati scholarship is an MHRD Scheme implied by the act of AICTE. Under this scholarship, a total of 4,000 scholarship are awarded each year to female candidates, combining of 2000 Degree and 2000 Diploma students. This scholarship is for the first year of the Diploma Program for the current academic year. The scholarship program objective is to train young women with knowledge, skills, and self-confidence, so they can contribute to the development process.
The main aim of the AICTE is to provide the scholarship to meritorious students.
Pragati Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- As this is an Indian Scholarship, therefore it is open and reserved for students who are a citizen of India and students who are presently permanent residents in India.
- The candidate should be a girl.
- Applicant should be studying in a college, institution, or university that is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
- The applicant should be a first-year female student.
- The applicant’s parental income should not be more than 8 Lakhs in the previous year of application.
- In case, the applicant is married, the annual income of both parents and in-laws will be considered and the highest of income will be considered.
- More than one girl in a family is allowed to apply for the AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme and eligible to receive it.
Pragati Scholarship Rewards
- The Pragati Scholarship Scheme is compensating a sum of total 4000 grants to female understudies, out of which 2000 grants are given to understudies seeking after certificate and 2000 to degree researchers.
- They chose the female applicant to get an aggregate educational cost charge of INR 30,000 or the correct charge required by the understudy, whichever is less.

- Only those candidates may apply for this program on AICTE portal at www.aicte-india.org, who have already taken admission in AICTE approved institutions for first-year Degree/Diploma in the academic year 2019.
- Navigate through the AICTE website at https://www.aicte-pragati-saksham-gov.in/ to enlist for Pragati or Saksham Scheme.
- A confirmation email will be sent to your enlisted email ID. It would be ideal if you tap on the connection to affirm your enrollment.
