Top 5 Scholarship Exam for Engineering Students

AISEE (ALL INDIA SCHOLARSHIP FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATION)

AISEE is a national level merit-based scholarship entrance exam for Engineering and Medical Studies aspirants in India.
Through its Scholarship program, AISEE has fueled dreams of more than 2 lakh talented engineering and medical
students of India since its initiation. The process of filling the form is online.

This program provides benefits for higher education to those students who wish to get aid in their higher studies.

The exam conducting board is registered with the Ministry of Finance act 1994 under the central excise department of India. The objective of the AISEE Scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious engineering and medical students through the AISEE examinations.

AISEE has launched two scholarship programs-
1. AISEE 2020 Scholarship for medical and Engineering. Read More
2.AISEE-2020 Open Book Scholarship for medical and engineering aspirants.
The AISEE exam will be usually conducted in the month of April and May. The exam will be conducted all across India and the examination will be conducted in Online mode (Computer Based Test) only. Based on the candidate score in the AISEE examination, the scholarship will be funded to the respective students.

NTSE (National Talent Search Exam)

It is the most prestigious scholarship exam at the high school level in India. NTSE is conducted in 2 levels and is open only for 10th standard candidates to provide scholarship to talented candidates. The scholarship is given to 5,000 qualified candidates every year.

One thousand scholarships are rewarded for different stages of education are mentioned below:

Scholarship of INR 1250/- per month for Standard-XI to XII.
Scholarship of INR 2000/- per month for Undergraduates (UGs) and Post-graduates (PGs).
Amount of Scholarship for PhD is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

 

NEST (Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test)

NEST is the scholarship exam conducted on the national level. Students studying in standard XIIth from science streams and in any other courses from science streams are eligible to apply. The registration can be done online/offline mode at their official website nest.net.in.

The students qualified for the test under Senior I category will get a scholarship of INR 35,000 to each with INR 75,000 to first rank holders.

The students selected for the test under the Senior II category will get a scholarship of INR 40,000 to each with INR 1 Lakh to first rank holders.

All students who score an aggregate of 40 per cent and above in all the five sections of the test will receive Certificates of Appreciation.

KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana)

It is a scholarship exam which runs by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (GOI). The main aim of the scholarship is to encourage highly motivated students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences.

Selection of the students is made from those studying in class XI  to first year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology having an aptitude for scientific research. Special groups or Committees are set up at IISc to screen the applications and conduct an aptitude test at various centres in the country.

Pragati Scholarship

Pragati Scholarship is given to the girl student to nurture their dreams and helping them to make a successful career. It is run by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) under AICTE. The AICTE Pragati Scholarship is provided for girl child of a family who is financially not stronger to make a child pursue their dreams.

The annual income of a family should not be more than Rs. 8,00,000 per annum. Total 4,000 girls candidates got scholarship under Pragati scholarship.
