Reputed scholarship exams of India 2020:
1. AISEE(ALL INDIA SCHOLARSHIP ENTRANCE EXAM)
All India Scholarship Entrance Examinations is a national level scholarship program provided by an organization that is registered under the Ministry of finance act 1994 is being registered with the central excise department of India. All India Scholarship Exam is an eligibility test for Engineering Scholarship and Medical Scholarship. AISEE is bridging the gap between ambition and knowledge. The AISEE 2019 will be conducted all across India and the examination will be conducted in Online mode (Computer Based Test).
Scholarship Eligibility – Highly-motivated students, studying in class 11th to 1st year of graduation (Science stream), who have an aptitude for science & research, are eligible to apply. Selection is made on the basis of an aptitude test conducted by IISc, Bangalore. For the renewal of scholarship every year, it is mandatory to maintain a good academic record – scoring a minimum of 60% each year. LAST DATE 28th Feb2020.

2. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
KVPV is another National Fellowship for students, who want to pursue basic sciences and research. This, too, is an initiative of The Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
Scholarship Eligibility – Highly-motivated students, studying in class 11th to 1st year of graduation (Science stream), who have an aptitude for science & research, are eligible to apply. Selection is made on the basis of an aptitude test conducted by IISc, Bangalore. For the renewal of scholarship every year, it is mandatory to maintain a good academic record – scoring a minimum of 60% each year.
3. NEST
National Entrance Screening Test(NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institutes by the Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences, Mumbai. Their main aim is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and come up with input to scientific programs of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country. NEST 2020 will be conducted in around 90 cities all over India.
Candidates must qualify all four eligibility criteria listed below:
- Candidates in the OBC and General category should be born on or after 01, August 2000. The age limit relaxation is given by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Divyangjan candidates.
- The class 12th qualifying examination should be passed in either 2019 or 2020.
- At least 60% marks in aggregate in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Divyangjan candidates, the minimum marks is 55%.
4. PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child
The objectives of the proposed scheme are to support postgraduate education of single girl child in postgraduate courses only, to recognize the value of observance of the small family norm.
Any single girl child who happens to be an only child or twin daughter or fraternal daughter in the family, if one son and one daughter are available then a girl child will not be considered for scholarship under the scheme.
The scheme is applicable to such a single girl child who has taken admission in regular, full-time 1st year Master’s Degree course in any recognized university or a post-graduate college.
This scholarship is available to PG-I year students only. Admission to PG Course in distance education mode is not covered under the scheme. Girl students up to the age of 30 years at the time of admission in PG courses are eligible. The number of slots available is 3000.
The amount of scholarship awarded to students is Rs.36,200/-p.a. for a period of two years only i.e. full duration of a PG course.
This scheme will be implemented and monitored by the UGC. The qualified students of previous years will continue to follow the pattern of assistance through UGC/Canara Bank portal.
