1. AISEE(ALL INDIA SCHOLARSHIP ENTRANCE EXAM)
All India Scholarship Entrance Examinations is a national level scholarship program provided by an organization that is registered under the Ministry of finance act 1994 is being registered with the central excise department of India. All India Scholarship Exam is an eligibility test for Engineering Scholarship and Medical Scholarship. AISEE is bridging the gap between ambition and knowledge. The AISEE 2019 will be conducted all across India and the examination will be conducted in Online mode (Computer Based Test).
Scholarship Eligibility – Highly-motivated students, studying in class 11th to 1st year of graduation (Science stream), who have an aptitude for science & research, are eligible to apply. Selection is made on the basis of an aptitude test conducted by IISc, Bangalore. 2. NEST
National Entrance Screening Test(NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institutes by the Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences, Mumbai. Their main aim is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and come up with input to scientific programs of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country. NEST 2020 will be conducted in around 90 cities all over India.
Scholarship Eligibility –
- Candidates in the OBC and General category should be born on or after 01, August 2000. The age limit relaxation is given by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Divyangjan candidates.
- The class 12th qualifying examination should be passed in either 2019 or 2020.
- At least 60% marks in aggregate in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Divyangjan candidates, the minimum marks is 55%.
3. KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana)
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.
The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
Scholarship Eligibility –
- The KVPY Fellowships are given to students of Indian Nationality.
- Students enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2019-20 and having secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board examination immediately in the preceding academic year are eligible to appear for the Aptitude test.
- The fellowship of the students selected under this stream will be activated only if they join an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences in the academic year 2021-22 after having secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in Science subjects in the XII standard/(+2) Board Examination.
- 10% relaxation for SC/ST/PWD students.
4. INSPIRE Scholarship
INSPIRE is an innovative program developed by the Department of Science & Technology to attract talent to the excitement and study of science at an early age.
Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) aims at attracting talented youth into undertaking higher education in science-intensive programs, by providing scholarships and mentoring through ‘summer attachment’ to performing researchers. The scheme offers 10,000 scholarships every year @ Rs 0.80 lakh per year to talented youth in the age group 17-22 years, for undertaking Bachelor and Masters level education in Natural and Basic sciences.
Scholarship Eligibility –

5. Ministry of Culture Scholarships for Young Artistes
This scholarship is initiated by the Ministry of Culture for Performing, Plastic and literary arts in the Senior and Junior category both for the rural and tribal artists. The scholarship aims at supporting outstanding performers in the field of art and culture belonging to the tribal and rural sections.
Scholarship Eligibility – Applicants should provide documented proof of their art. To avail of the Junior Category fellowship, applicants should be between 25 to 40 years of age. The applicant’s age 40 years and above come in the Senior Category.
